Search

Maskr's search lets you find content and people across the Nostr network, not just from accounts you follow.

What you can search for

• Posts — full-text search across post content from across the network.
• People — find users by display name, username, or NIP-05 address.
• Articles — search long-form content by title and body text.
• Hashtags — search for a tag to see all posts using it.

Direct lookups

Pasting an npub or a raw hex public key into the search bar redirects you directly to that user's profile — no need to know their display name.

Search infrastructure

Full-text search is powered by the Maskr Hub relay (hub.maskr.space), which indexes content using NIP-50. The hub aggregates events from the wider Nostr network and provides full-text search capabilities.

Results are de-duplicated and ranked by relevance before display. Coverage depends on which events the hub has indexed — a post that has not reached the hub may not appear in results.

Trending hashtags

The search page surfaces trending hashtags — tags with a high volume of recent activity across the relays Maskr monitors. Tap a trending tag to jump straight into that conversation.
